Itinerary

Day 1:

London - Cambridge - York

Are you ready for the first day of your Great Britain adventure? Let’s go! Depart London and head to the beautiful English countryside. A unique experience awaits in Cambridge with a punting (traditional riverboat) trip along the River Cam which flows through this famous university town. Admire scenic landscapes and historic buildings as you go. Then, head to York, the final stop of the day. Here, enjoy a walking tour and learn about York’s incredible history and architecture.

Day 2:

Hadrian’s Wall - Jedburgh - Edinburgh

Leave York this morning and travel to Scotland! Before crossing the border, visit the impressive Angel of the North statue which offers epic photo opportunities. Then, head to Hadrian’s Wall - an ancient Roman fortification that dates back to 122 AD! Next, visit the nearby Scottish border town of Jedburgh which is full of royal history and historic architecture. Finally, travel to Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city and embark on a driving and walking tour.

Day 3:

Edinburgh: Free day

Today is free for the group to enjoy Edinburgh to the max! This city is all about history, impressive monuments and charming Scottish hospitality. There are a number of things to do: stroll through Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns, visit Holyrood Palace or, for some exercise and great views, hike up to Arthur’s Seat. To see the best of Edinburgh, we recommend the Conquer the Capital excursion which includes a boat trip to the Falkirk Wheel, a visit to Calton Hill, a tour of Edinburgh Castle and more!

Day 4:

Loch Ness - Glencoe - Scottish Highlands

Today is a real bucket list adventure - it’s time to search for the Loch Ness Monster! Head to the Scottish Highlands and take in the magical scenery. Learn about Scottish folklore and the many myths surrounding this region. At Loch Ness, enjoy an hour-long cruise - try to spot Nessie while you sail around the loch! Back on the road, admire the scenery which includes Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain! Finally, visit Glen Coe. This beautiful Scottish valley was the setting for some of Scotland’s darkest moments in history.

Day 5:

Gretna Green - Lake District - Liverpool

It’s time to head back to England - making some great stops along the way! Enjoy a drive through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park before arriving at today’s first destination, Gretna Green, and enjoy time in this quaint town famous for hosting weddings. Next, visit the scenic Lake District in England. Then, arrive in Liverpool - the birthplace of The Beatles and home to world-famous football clubs! Enjoy a driving tour to get to know more about the city.

Day 6:

Stratford-Upon-Avon - Wales

Take a tour of famous sites connected to the Beatles this morning before leaving Liverpool. Travel onwards to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare! Here, visit the home that Shakespeare grew up in. Later, cross the border into Wales and see a spectacular medieval castle, with a chance to snap a few photos, before arriving in Cardiff, the Welsh capital. Enjoy a driving tour seeing Cardiff’s top sights before checking into the accommodation for the evening.

Day 7:

Bath - Stonehenge - London

Look forward to more exciting activities on the last day of this Great Britain tour! First, stop in Bath, a picturesque and historic English town. Learn about the town's history and see its magnificent architecture. Then, get ready to see the legendary Stonehenge! Get a closer look at these mysterious stones and learn more about the myths surrounding them. Finally, board the coach for the last time and head back to London where the tour will come to an end.
